The very first video to meet the standards of BadingAko YouTube’s Best comes from the west with someone who has built a solid fanbase with her priceless remakes of different modern music videos. She has accomplished successful videos such as Lipgloss, Gimme More, Umbrella, When I Grow Up, and so much more.

Excuses

Last night, me and Alain were talking about one of our high school friend, Tyrus. Apparently, he was texting Joanna (Alain’s friend) a couple of days ago so I decided to ask for his number from Joanna. I was waiting for a text message, but it never came. And just last night, I learned from Alain that according to Joanna, Tyrus would just be texting us if he’s not busy anymore.

Call me a freakin’ biatch for wanting to be texted by Tyrus, but I’d call him a bigger bitch for using the lame excuse of being busy for not being able to at least contact me. He may be studying Law, but frankly, even I, despite my busy schedule, would find at least a fraction of my time to text someone important or not.

Besides, all I ever wanted to happen was for me and Tyrus to hang out during the time he’d be coming home to Dagupan that”s all. But with the attitude he’s been showing me, I think I’ll just reconsider my plan.

People that I have to deal with everyday somehow has an excuse for things undone. They blame, time, the hectic schedule, the weather, and worse of all, even other people. Since when did owning up to one’s mistake phased out? Are we really living in a world of innovations where values are slowly fading? I hope not. For it would be depressing if it was to happen.

The truth is, everyone’s not perfect. And no matter how hard we try to undo things, we simply can’t. So just admit the shortcomings and the world could be as real as it could get. After all, who would want to play pretend the entire day when you can be at peace being imperfect?

Team Veejay Floresca!

August 23rd, 2008 by Remcyl

As I wait till my father installs my best friend, Adobe Photoshop, I’ll have to settle with this photo I got from his friendster account and ETC’s website (Click on the image to visit the site).

I’ve been religiously watching Project Runway Philippines and immediately after hearing about the show’s promo, I opened the laptop and voted for my new favorite designer, Veejay Floresca. Not only do I get the chance to win great items from Project Runway Philippines, but I also get the chance (though it might be a thin one, I am hopeful) to meet and greet the cast of the show which in my opinion is by far, the must-see show these days.

So don’t vote for anyone else but the one who deserves it, who else…

You may be wondering why the sudden switch from Team Eli to Team Veejay, right? Well, after seeing the latest episode, I’ve finally concluded that Eli is no “Bad Girl gone Good” but truly a “Good Girl Gone Bad” taking the throne of our cinderella-ella-ella, Rihanna.

I really hated when Eli gave an unnecessary comment on Veejay’s fashion style, considering the industry he is in. In fashion, you may be in or out, but when you think about it, what’s “out” anyways. The thing that I love about the fashion industry, besides the high-end couture or the ready-to-wear apparels and accessories, is the freedom to flaunt your own style with each person’s individuality. The thing that makes each person unique. Which apparently Eli doesn’t seem to get a clear picture of.

If he keeps up this personality, there’s no doubt he’d be the next person we’d love to hate.

With that being said, from this day forward, this site is now officialy in full support of Veejay Floresca!

Faith

When someone prays for patience, do you think God gives them patience? Or the opportunity to be patient?

When someone prays for strength, do you think God gives them courage? Or the opportunity to be courageous?

– Evan Almighty

After my lolo’s sudden death three years ago, I never thought I would experience agony like I did during those times. Yesterday as I woke up to the noisy television around 3 in the afternoon, my sister faced me and broke the news that my uncle, after undergoing a CT-Scan, was diagnosed with stage 4 brain and lung cancer, just after arriving three days ago from Brunei. Today, I’ve learned from my uncle’s surgeon, that he would only live for a maximum of three months.

We couldn’t tell him about his condition. A day after he arrived, he was joking that if he finds out that he is suffering from a deadly disease, he would consider suicide just so we wouldn’t have to worry about the expenses. With that being brought up, it’s kind of difficult to even think of telling him.

The surgeon said that we could consider chemotherapy, a treatment he was to go through for three months with each month’s cost reaching Php100,000. Something that none of us could afford. The worst part of it all, even after that, he still couldn’t be assured of a longer existence.

I know God has a purpose, a reason, for everything that is happening in the world. He has planned all of this out, and who are we to argue with it.

He is testing our faith. The truth can hurt sometimes if we’re not strong enough to handle them, but I am hopeful. Besides, what else can we possess in a time like this.

Uncle Ramon, you have our prayers, and we are always here for you.

A gay man’s worst nightmare realized

August 19th, 2008 by Remcyl

The days that passed has been a redundant spawn of events. I wake up in the morning, prepare myself for my hospital duty, admit pregnant patients who are in labor, and help the doctors out with the work, yaddah yaddah blah blah blah. I thought today was no different but I was definitely wrong.

So I was assigned today at the labor room meaning I had nothing to do with the delivery of the babies. I was busy as hell and my two classmates were not even helping me out with the loads of work I had in my hands. Talk about lacking the assertive trait! Well anyways, back to the main story. After everyone had their turn inside the delivery room, my clinical instructor decided to let me have one patient for the day. I was to do the actual while my other classmate was to do the assist. For those not in the medical field, the actual assists the surgeon with the instruments and the cutting while the assist, well, from the term itself, assists both the actual and the surgeon, touching everything that isn’t sterile.

Anyways, the mother was in the weirdest position ever when the head of her child came out but I can’t tell you how it was since that would be breaking the right of the patient’s confidentiality. Too bad isn’t it? LOL.

Then came the traumatic experience above all traumatic experiences.

Right after I delivered the placenta, the doctor asked me to stand in front of the mother’s vagina. I thought she was just going to show me something or lecture me on the delivery, but man was I mistaken.

She first asked me to put two of my fingers inside the vajay-jay so that’s what I did. Then she told me if I could feel a hole as I go further and I replied with a “Yes”. Waaahh! Doing that alone made my stomach flip that my fingers were trembling so hard, but when she asked me to put my entire hand inside the hole I was mortified. Believe me, mortified would be a complete understatement as to how I was feeling.

I don’t know about you but that to me is a nightmare making me scarred for life! My hands finally touched the untouchable, did the impossible, and accomplished the inevitable.

What’s your story today?

It’s time to change things

August 18th, 2008 by Remcyl

Okay that may sound familiar from a shampoo commercial, but I’m serious.

I’ve been wanting to make a “sex and the city” article for so long now but can’t seem to write about anything. Then I’ve realized what’s wrong in the picture. What’s wrong was that I’ve been living the same day more than twice and frankly, i’m not happy anymore. It’s getting boring that all I’ve been doing for the past weeks is school, school, and more of school. I haven’t done a haircut in ages, I haven’t designed anything in centuries, and I haven’t gone out with anybody and shared a conversation with in God knows how long.

You just know your life is boring if all you can talk about in your blog are the lives of others. I need to make people talk about me instead of the other way around. LOL that was too narcissistic of me.

So this weekend after my examinations in all my subjects, I’m finally gonna pass that long overdue portfolio in the studios of my choice and hopefully, I get hired even if it’s only as an apprentice. I need all the learning I can get.

Also, I’m preparing myself for another hosting job I’d be doing. After a successful job with my school’s Capping and Pinning Ceremonies, they chose me to host this year’s Acquaintance Party to be held at Leisure Coast Resort. It’s time to pull out my personality on this event and I want people to see the real Abraham Remcyl Viloria. You guys can join the party if you’re willing to pay 775 bucks to serve as your pass.

That’s pretty much it. Take care guys and I miss you all. Hope we can have the opportunity to chat once so we can pick up on each other’s lives. Mwah!

Chef to Go

August 18th, 2008 by Remcyl

So yesterday being a boring lazy afternoon, I decided to turn to a channel I don’t normally view, Qtv. To those not in the know, Qtv is like GMA’s version of Studio23.

So anyways, luckily, I was fortunate enough to have a good show in my hand, Chef to Go.

This my gay friends is Rob Pengson. The guy I decided to leave Eli Gonzales for. LOL

He is the gorgeous host of my new found favorite show, Chef to Go. Being a first-time viewer, I really don’t have a clear idea on how the show runs but from what I’ve watched, it was similar to this show I watch on the Travel and Living Channel where chefs cook for hot models as they watch their food being prepared.

He was wearing this hot white long sleeves which was molded to his sculpt body… Oops! Wait, this is supposed to be about the show. So going back. The episode I never took my eyes off from featured Thai dishes which he delivered in the sexiest way. Yes, even hotter than Hot Guys who Cook.

He speaks fluently in the English language which to me is waay sexy for any man.

But I think words are not enough to justify the hotness of Rob Pengson, or the show itself. So go check it out every Sunday at 7pm only on Qtv.

Take care my dear Rob Pengson! Kisses!

WAAAAAHHHH!!!

Yes ladies and gentlemen, Jigs Mayuga now knows I exist. After sending him a message on friendster about a week ago, I finally received a short reply from him. Yes, it may be short, but to me, it means everything.

As soon as I graduate I swear to God I’m gonna work hard to earn money so I’d be able to study at SOFA! Mark my words!

Sofa

August 7th, 2008 by Remcyl

I miss blogging so much after being busy with my duties for the past few days. Everything seems to be a blur as I can’t seem to see the days pass by because of all the things I’ve been doing.

Anyways, I’ve been sick every evening as well but that doesn’t mean I can’t catch up on the shows I got my eye on.

Project Runway Philippines is definitely living up to it’s viewers’ standards unlike the flop that is known as Philippine’s Next Top Model. The challenges are coming out great so far and the designs I’ve been seeing are up to par. I never thought Filipino talent could be this innovative, but I guess they all proved me wrong.

During commercial breaks, I decided to give Sofa a visit on their website and see what they have to offer as a fashion school.

School of Fashion and the Arts
School of Fashion and the Arts

I was very much impressed with what they have to offer and the fees are very affordable for world class education on fashion, make up, photography, and so much more. Not only are they advocates on the technical aspect of fashion, but the business side as well.

They even have this ongoing competition for young rookie designers like moi who have the skills to be in the industry, with the grand prize of a free education at their school for an entire term.

I applaud the minds of these brilliant people for coming up with such cool affordable concept. Now I could say that there’s hope for all the talented young designers in the Philippines to learn the tricks of the trade.

*Last night, I was at the edge of my seat as my fave and husband-to-be, Eli Gonzales, didn’t quite make a masterpiece. But I still love him. Eli, you have my prayers.

Also, Have I mentioned I am also the husband-to-be of my inspiration for doing great make-up, Jigs Mayuga?

How’s that for a portfolio?

Gulp! both of them are definitely a tall drink of water.
